VERONICA'S
ROOM

A THRILLER
by
Ira Levin

Directed by Tanya Wilkie

6th – 9th October 2010

Tanya Wilkie makes her directorial debut at WTW with this elegant thriller set in an old house outside of Boston, USA, in 1973.

Susan Kerner (and her date) are enticed into the Brabisant mansion by an elderly couple struck by her resemblance to the long dead Veronica. What transpires after that is like being trapped in the maze of someone else's nightmare. Written by the author of Deathtrap and Stepford Wives.

LYSISTRATA

By Aristophanes
Directed by Martin Lorenz

5th & 6th November 2010

The word Lysistrata means ‘Dissolver of armies’. It is an anti-war play written in 413BC on the premise that men will stop fighting if ladies withhold their ‘favours’. We all know it can’t work (look at Africa), but the play is very relevant today and will doubtless be so until global warming gets us; it is also very funny and rude and should be just the tonic that Wargrave needs. Being directed by Martin Lorenz, the play has a mixed cast of male and female and many ‘extras’. More detail to follow.
