WEDGE presents
CHRISTMAS,
BAH! HUMBUG!
15th to 17th November 2007
Charles Dickens loved a good
ghost story. His tradition of producing a ghost story at
Christmas reached its high point in 1836 with the publication of
his most successful, and possibly the best known ghost story in
the world – ‘A Christmas Carol’.
WEDGE is busy rehearsing a
specially written, musical adaptation of this well loved story,
which has been brought up to date and set in the present. Bob
Cratchit is not the only employee at Scrooge & Marley; the Ghost
of Christmas Past takes you back to see Scrooge as a boy in
wartime Britain, and as a young man in the 60’s. Thirty highly
talented members of Wedge will show their acting and musical
skills to bring all the usual, well-known characters to life:
Scrooge, the Cratchits with Tiny Tim and, of course, no less
than four ghosts, as well as some new characters.
