A musical spoof about gang warfare in 1930s
America – Fat Sam meets Dandy Dan and Blousey Brown falls for
Bugsy Malone – lots of fun!
This is
one of the most exciting WTW productions in recent years, the
first full scale Musical that we have put on for almost 20 years
and the first ever with a live orchestra including keyboard,
drums, bass guitar, clarinets, flute, trombone and tuba.
It is a
fast moving, unsentimental and very funny play that has been
specially adapted from Alan Parker’s popular film. Featuring an
extensive cast of young male and female characters with great
costumes and memorable songs this show is enormously
entertaining and will appeal to everyone irrespective of age.
A
fantastic, highly talented and enthusiastic team is working hard
on what promises to be a milestone production showcasing the
considerable talents of our younger members. You will definitely
enjoy this show which is an important and high profile
production by WTW that demands the full support of every member. We have
a very hard working young cast under the direction
of Ann Roberts and Chez Payne Annetts with valuable support from
Lauren Priestnall and Andy McKay. The Musical Direction is
being led by Angela Pengilley, who will be playing the keyboard
and rehearsing the young musicians.
