This thrilling play, written in 2017 and premiered at the Mill at Sonning, is set in France in 1939, on the eve of World War II, and combines elements of suspense, mystery, and psychological drama.
The plot revolves around Peter and Suzy, an English couple living in a remote farmhouse in Provence. Their peaceful life is disrupted when a mysterious stranger named Ross arrives at their door, claiming to be an old friend of Peter’s. However, as the evening progresses, it becomes clear that Ross is not who he claims to be, and the couple finds themselves caught up in a web of deception and danger.
As tensions rise and secrets are revealed, Peter and Suzy must confront the truth about their own pasts and the true identity of their unexpected guest. The play keeps audiences on the edge of their seats as the characters navigate a maze of lies, betrayal, and intrigue.
